Each column in a table asks Zeno a specific question. You define what to extract and how the answer should be formatted.

How to Add A Column

  1. Click on ‘Add Column’.

  2. In the column builder, insert:

    • A column name (e.g. “Governing Law”)

    • The instruction (what Zeno should look for in the documents)

  3. Select the output type — this defines how Zeno should format the answer:

Output Types:

  • Text: A direct answer in text form (e.g. “England and Wales”).

  • Yes/No: A simple yes or no in response to your instruction.

  • Number: Extracts numerical values (e.g. “24”, “3.5”).

  • Currency: Returns amounts in currency format (e.g. “€500,000”).

  • Date: Extracts a specific date or duration (e.g. “2022-04-15” or “within 30 days”).

  • Select: You provide a list of possible categories. Zeno picks the one that best fits (e.g. “High Risk”, “Medium Risk”, “Low Risk”).

  • Multi-select: You provide a list of possible categories. Zeno can choose multiple that apply (e.g. “Termination”, “Indemnity”, “Governing Law”).

Once the details are filled in, click ‘Add Column’.

Repeat this process for each new column you want to include in your table or preset.
