The Zeno Assistant is a feature that allows you to work with Zeno in a more interactive and step-by-step way via a chat interface. Rather than asking one-off questions, you can build a dialogue, refine your queries, explore documents within a file, and gain insights along the way. The Assistant has two modes:
The Assistant Without Legal Research
This mode supports fast, task-oriented help. Use it for:
Answering direct questions;
Retrieving specific details from documents;
General knowledge inquiries;
Administrative tasks, like rewriting an email or text;
Comparing and translating documents.
Note: This mode does not provide legal justification. Answers come without source citations and are less suited for substantive legal queries. There’s a higher chance of hallucinations. In the app, this mode is recognizable by the lack of source references.
The Assistant With Legal Research
Use this mode for legal research and deeper analysis. In this mode, Zeno actively searches relevant case law and supports answers with direct access to reliable legal sources through our strategic partnership with Recht.NL. You should use Legal Research for:
Analyzing complex legal issues;
Checking for gaps in legal reasoning;
Supporting your position with carefully selected legal sources.
