Context remains within the chat thread where it was created. It does not automatically carry into a new chat or another workspace. Files remain saved in their workspace, but you need to select the relevant files again when starting a new chat.
Within the Same Chat Thread
A chat thread is one ongoing conversation. When you reopen it, you can continue from its earlier messages, answers and document analyses.
Keep follow-up questions in the same chat thread when you want Zeno to use the existing conversation history.
When You Start a New Chat Thread
A new chat starts with clean conversation context. Zeno does not automatically reuse:
Prompts and answers from another chat
Instructions or background information provided in another chat
Documents selected for another chat
To continue the same work in a new chat, restate the essential background and select the relevant documents again.
When You Switch Workspaces
Each workspace keeps its own files, chats, research threads, tables and rulebooks together.
Switching workspaces does not apply the conversation context from your previous workspace to a chat in the new workspace. You can use files stored in the new workspace by selecting them when you start or continue a chat.
When to Continue or Start Fresh
Reopen an existing chat when you want to continue from its previous questions and answers.
Start a new chat when you want a clean context, such as when retrying a request after an incorrect or unhelpful answer.
